Saugerties is located in the scenic Hudson Valley in New York State, approximately 90 miles north of NYC.
The Town of Saugerties was officially established in 1831, but its history goes much further back than that. In the 1650’s, Dutch settlers operated several mills in the area. English and German settlers arrived through the late 1600’s into the 1700’s.
Today, the Town of Saugerties is home to over 20,000 inhabitants and has a vibrant and rich village full of shops, stores, galleries and eateries. It is a wonderfully walk-able town.
